This “mindmap” below updates my list of professional networking tools that I started here. I’ve made the following changes:

  • My web site is now the center of the map. This is where I centrally maintain my “online professional identity.”
  • I’ve added a cluster of “local face to face networking” groups to reflect the in-person networking I’ve been doing. As pointed out in one of the notes attached to the diagram, the online groups and the face to face groups reinforce each other.
  • I’ve added more icons (the little red circle) to indicate where my participation in a particular group has decreased or ceased. For example, my use of Facebook has decreased over the past year while my use of Linkedin has increased.

On most of the items I’ve added an update note that will display when you pass your pointer over the note. Also, to see a full page read-only version of the map, you can click here.
