Local Government Uses RSS Feeds for City's Press Releases

Here is an example of how RSS feeds can be used by local governments to provide information to the public. The City of Alexandria, Virginia is using RSS feeds to distribute information to the public about city events. So far, two feeds are being publicized on the city's web site: a feed for general city government news, and a feed for the city's bus system.
