Tamaki & Pugh's “HARLEY QUINN: BREAKING GLASS”

I’m certainly no expert on graphic novels nor am I privy to all the media representations of Harleen Quinzel that have emerged in recent years.

Nevertheless, this graphic novel is terrific.

The artwork jumps off the pages. The story is a fast moving, off-kilter, and engrossing backstory about adolescent Harley and her first encounters with The Joker. And, we get some real insights into the roots of the unhinged Harley we saw as a post-Joker adult in 2020’s fantabulous Birds of Prey.

I look forward to reading more about Harley Quinn!
