King of Masks

KING OF MASKS stars Zhu Xu as the King of Masks, who also stars in SHOWER.

I highly recommend this lovely and heart-felt film. It is beautifully acted, directed, scored, and edited. Presented on DVD in “full frame,” it occasionally appears that a bit too much has been cut off on the sides, but the concentration on the main characters — the old man and the child — at least partially overcomes the lack of a wide screen presentation.
