Are These "Web 2.0 Adoption Stereotypes" Still Valid?

By Dennis D. McDonald, Ph.D.

Last year I published Pop Quiz: Web 2.0 Adoption Stereotypes with this mindmap outlining a high level grouping of stereotypes regarding Web 2.0 adopters and their identifying “slogans” (use your mouse pointer to move the diagram):

Are these stereotypes still valid (assuming they were then)? Or has enough happened over the past 12 months to require significant upgrades to this picture?

You can move the diagram  around with your mouse pointer; hover over the circles to see pop-up notes. And most important, please leave a comment below to let me know how you think I should modify the diagram!

Thanks!

I think there is a new type group now:

Group: "Adoption Imposters”

Slogan “We’re on Facebook so now we’re part of Web 2.0!”
