Review by Dennis D. McDonald

WHy 3.5 not 4 or 5 stars? The story is not original, and the Audible-provided performance is so-so. Still, I enjoyed this book immensely and listening made me want to see the movie again.

The book follows the movie very closely, there is a bit more backstory on each of the characters, and the author does an excellent job of illustrating the emotional stress the characters experience during extraordinary circumstances.

At times the book becomes very melodramatic and that's appropriate. All in all it's a fascinating experience but I wish the reading had been done by someone like Will Patton.
