Is MoviePass Now Useless?

Is MoviePass Now Useless?

By Dennis D. McDonald

I wasn't that concerned when MoviePass reduced the number of movies per subscription my wife and I could see  to three per month per subscription. We're busy. It's hard to find time when we can go out together to see movies. Movies for the both of us together are a special occasion.

I was thinking of going to see a movie tonight (August 20, 2018) at one of the three theaters closest to us where we live in Alexandria Virginia. I checked movie availability at these three theaters using the MoviePass app on my iPhone.

I was stunned to realize that only a handful of movies were available -- only 12% when compared with the actual number of films being screened in "standard mode" at these three theaters.

The results of my analysis are shown below. Pretty slim pickings, if this analysis is correct:

Would you continue to pay almost ten dollars a month for such a subscription if you are already subscribing to Netflix and Amazon Prime?
