Robert Brousseau's RACE

A quick and dirty movie review by Dennis D. McDonald

Plot summary:

  • This is the “intergalactic pod race” story you get from people who don’t read enough good science fiction.

What’s Good:

  • Color
  • Space Effects
  • Vehicle Design
  • Sound

What’s Bad:

  • Plot (derivative)
  • Dialog (derivative)
  • Music (hackneyed)
  • Alien Design (“Star Wars” vintage)
  • Animation (late 20th century graphics)
  • Characters (stereotypes, especially the pneumatic female figures)

Recommendation:

  • Mildly entertaining. Don’t expect a lot.
